Let me start by saying I wish I can give this location ZERO stars. This has been the worse experience I have ever had with this bank. I spoke with an employee who name is Lexi on 04/28/2022. She is absolutely unprofessional and I wouldn’t recommend anyone working with her. I needed to make an emergent transfer and she was willing to help me until I wanted to work with the previos employee I had worked with in the past. She got upset and said she have the same authority which is fine but she wasn’t willing to fax me the sheet that I needed to complete the transfer. She said I needed to comment into the bank even though she knew I was out of state. Her colleague didn’t have a problem with this transaction last time and this is why I requested. Lexi proceeded to tell me she’s not going to do it because she “like” her job and that procedures has changed which is false.
So I called another branch that I have history with that’s located in Florida and this entire transaction was done within 10 minutes.

The personal banker was very rude. I called the number to make an appointment to open accounts. Left message 5 days ago. No one has called me back. I will go to another location.

Hands down the worst bank ever. Bad customer service. Rude employees. They have marked my paycheck from my work as fraud 3 times even though there was nothing wrong with it. They called me and scolded me for using my savings account in a way they don’t approve and explained that’s why they said my paycheck was fraud. I transferred money out of my saving on a weekly basis. How that is fraud I have no idea. They would not change my name after a divorce because they need to know I was “actually divorced” in the horrible managers words. They have put my money in the wrong account before. Absolutely horrible. Can’t believe it’s still a bank!!!

Worse Banking Experience at 5/3 Bank - Dekalb/Sycamore Branch.
On 9/20/21, I noticed a transfer I made to my other account had not reflected. I immediately contacted both banks to help trace my funds. When I communicated with 5/3 to make sure a hold could be placed on the funds, I was directed to go to the branch and dispute the transaction.
On 9/23/21, at the 5/3 Bank - Dekalb/Sycamore Branch, I was advised to wait for ten working days (who waits for 10 days?). I insisted the transfer be interrupted and investigated as they could clearly see the name and account did not match; however, 5/3 insisted that it was my fault (what a nice way to assist your customer). On the other hand, the receiving bank was a small bank - Illinois Community Credit Union, this bank took their time to track my incoming transfer and flagged it. They stopped it from going into the wrong account and did the needful. The customer service rep. at 5/3 was the least empathetic and less helpful. Please, never save at 5/3 bank, You will never be assisted when you need them the most.

We've been trying to get in touch with someone at the bank for two days. Lucky it's not an emergency. No one will answer the phone or return calls. Now on hold with 800 number for fifteen minutes and counting. Time for new bank

The most unprofessional bank I have ever dealt with. No customer service, rude manager, and told me to go to St Charles branch for a simple transaction that took 5 minutes. NEVER AGAIN! Avoid at all costs.

If I can give zero I would. Beware of Fifth Third. Not just this branch but all. They do not recognize fraud. Horrible, horrible bank!!!!!
It's ridiculous that each phone number you call they give different information. Can't trust Fifth Third!!
