Only 1 star because that's the lowest possible choice. Customer service is absolutely terrible there. They speak kindly but their words mean nothing because they don't actually care to help. If you use PayPal or other cash apps, DO NOT use this bank! Every time I use PayPal i have to wait 3-7 business days for my money to transfer even though it's immediate for any other bank. The Pennsburg manager/assistant (don't remember) told me that since they're a small bank they don't have the same systems as the bigger banks so that's why their transfers take longer. Then i was told that i can pay $25 to stop the transfer if i wanted to stop it. They refused to even waive the $25 fee even though i was already told that I'm stuck waiting 3 days because they don't have the proper systems to run a decent bank. The minute this is sorted out i am deleting my account with them and going to a real bank that can afford to get the proper software and who actually treats their customers with respect

I phoned the credit union, waited 5 minutes for someone to answer, asked for mortgage dept, was transferred, once someone answered (Karen) I didn't even get to say a full sentence and she hung up on me. Not very good customer service!

Elena is the best . I had an issue about my card possibly being compromised and was truly upset It wasn't , it was a business web site that had issues . She held me on the line : went to the next level and solved my problem . She actually had me smiling about how fast she solved my issue . She is bright with a personality to match . A true game changer .

I'd like to provide an honest, informed review, I've been going here for a little while now and had no prior knowledge or input about them. I read the previous reviews and they couldn't be more wrong, people are so entitled these days, they live in their bubble and have unrealistic expectations. They ARE behind the times because they focus on things that matter. I have never had any accounting issues with pay by dates or automatic payments as the last reviewer says so I can't believe that's their error.
My husband and I just choose this credit union, didn't know anything about it but it was nearby. I went in first to kinda check it out before we both went in. I met the manager day 1, I walked in was promptly greeted by him and 4 other associates, great first impression. He took me in his office and told me a little about this credit union, he was warm and welcoming and informed me of many of their services and core values, which is mainly they're a small, home town credit union, they KNOW EVERYONE BY NAME AND MAKE IT A POINT TO know every one of their customers. I was so blown away by the fact that a bank actually KNOWS their customers one on one, I'm used to being a number. Maybe that doesn't mean anything to you, but to me it does. See they focus on the actual customer not the fancy apps gadgets and technology, they care about PEOPLE FIRST and giving them the very best personal service. I felt this day 1 but I wanted to keep an open mind because seeing is believing.
So my husband and I went back in to talk about various services we needed and this time we dealt with Ian. Ian was incredibly thorough explaining every service and answering the million questions we had in great detail. We were there for hours and this man never once delivered anything other then fantastic customer service, we felt completely comfortable, at ease and by the end we were confident this was the place we wanted to do our banking. We immediately chose them to go with our loan, the process was straight forward and was painless.
We've been here for almost 3 years now, let me tell you what this isn't...TCA isn't a massive network of banks with thousands of locations, they don't have the latest and greatest technology, they don't have high tech apps and customer service reps you can't understand a million miles away, they just aren't your large, impersonal, money hungry bank.
What they do have is PERSONAL service, they do actually care about you as a human being and your money. They focus on customer service and that's very apparent from the minute you enter. You deal with a customer service reps that actually care and if you have a problem, you can call or email them directly, WHO does that! They do. Listen, I wouldn't be singing their praises if they truly weren't a phenomenal bank. But they really are that awesome. Do you know THE MANAGER that I met ONCE, KNOWS my name, yup and he remembers everything about me because he cared enough to, he'll even ask about the car that we took a loan out for, he remembers.
If I'm being completely honest, which I always am, I have had 1 female rep (who is one of their managers) be a little snarky. I've only dealt with her a couple times and yeah she's not fantastic and a little snarky BUT we all have bad days and every other person I've dealt with here has been over the top awesome so I'm not going to beat down a great establishment because 1 woman had a bad day.
I don't know about you, but I want a small, home town bank where everyone knows my name. Where I know my money is safe, they care about me and I know I'm not getting ripped off by extra fees and addons.
If you want AN AMAZING BANK WITH THE MOST INCREDIBLE PERSONAL SERVICE THIS IS THE PLACE! Ask for Ian you'll love him!

Pennsburg management is lacking! They tell you one thing then do another. Very poor attitude also.
Other than customer service, they are behind the times. Online banking is not available on your phone web browser, you need the app, which never works. Bill pay dates are irrelevant, the bank takes money out before those dates and calls the dates you set as "pay by dates". You cannot view any payee address information, it is hidden and instead they tell you they have a relationship with this creditor. I guess that explanation doesn't fly when your life insurance policy is saying you are in your grace period because they sent to the wrong company location.
Car loans are good! Rates are great... so you can't argue with that!

I am surprised at the negative reviews. I have been with the Pennsburg Branch for a few years now and have never had a negative experience , the reps are always friendly and helpful in the building and on the phone.
